Pay Rate: £29,187.60

Grade: CA

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: 30 hours per week - working a 6on 3off shift pattern - Start times from 04:00am

Location: Luton Airport

PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within an airport. You will be required to undergo a security/background check if you are to be successful for this position.

We're seeking a Turnaround Coordinator to play an integral role in our aviation contract, delivering a first-class service and achieving fantastic results.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

  • Coordinating the turnaround process of an aircraft, from standing/arriving at airport, through to departure
  • Ensuring that all ground handling activities are carried out correctly and efficiently (such as passenger boarding, baggage loading and aircraft refueling)
  • Being the primary point of contact for ground handling agents, airport authorities and other stakeholders involved in the aircraft turnaround process
  • Facilitating effective communication between different teams to ensure a seamless and timely turnaround process
  • Ensuring adherence to aircraft safety protocols, such as weight and balance
  • Resolving any issues or delays promptly
  • Ensuring all paperwork relating to the aircraft turnaround is completed

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • MUST HOLD A FULL UK MANUAL DRIVING LICENSE
  • An essential part of this role is having team leading/management experience
  • Having previous aviation experience is desirable
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to quickly and accurately react to any given situation
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and bank holidays

SECURITY PROCESS TO WORK WITHIN AVIATION AND TRAVEL AT DHL

  • Be able to provide five years address history
  • Be able to provide five years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
  • To obtain a full airside ID
  • Pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test
