Job Details
We are looking for someone who can develop, deliver and support various learning opportunities in non-accredited classes in a range of subject areas from arts and crafts, cooking/baking to wellness/mindfulness or any other skills and talents that help build skills and confidence.
- You will contribute to the wider aim of increasing the participation of people in local communities in opportunities designed to assist in their personal development.
- Delivery will predominately be in various community facilities in and around Kirkcaldy.
- Main duties include Developing a programme which suits the needs of students in conjunction with community education workers and welfare support team. Planning, reviewing and adapting lessons/programmes as appropriate in response to individuals'/group needs.
- Maintain the necessary recording of learning and student progress via agreed systems, Cognisoft is the current software (training will be given).

The Person
- Educated to SCQF level 6, which includes Highers or SVQ level 3 or equivalent
- Ability to develop a programme which suits the needs of students
- Planning, reviewing and adapting lessons/programmes as appropriate in response to individuals/groups.
- Effective communication and approaches which are consistent with the ethos and value of lifelong learning.
- Organisational skills:
- Able to manage competing demands and facilitate agreed outcomes.
- Ensuring the venues are prepared for the activity, equipment is set out and equipment.
- Experience of working in a community setting/environment and with all ages including volunteers preferred but not essential
- Ability to work in a planned way
