Next Level Learning Ltd, established in 2014, is a tutoring service that supports schools, pupils, and their families or carers across Greater Manchester and the North West. Based in Wigan, the organization delivers high-quality one-to-one and small group teaching in the community. Originally focused on Looked After Children, Next Level Learning is now a recognised provider across the wider education and residential care sectors. The company offers bespoke support for young people in care, pupils with Special Educational Needs, and learners who require additional academic and emotional support. Role Description
This part-time Tutor role is a hybrid position, primarily based in Wigan with some work from home possible. The Tutor will deliver one-to-one and small group lessons, following agreed learning plans and adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs, including pupils with Special Educational Needs and those in care.

Responsibilities
- Planning and preparing engaging lessons
- Assessing progress
- Providing constructive feedback
- Maintaining clear records of attendance and attainment
The Tutor will communicate regularly with schools, carers, and Next Level Learning staff to ensure consistent support and safeguarding standards. The role also involves creating a positive, inclusive learning environment and demonstrating professional conduct in both centre-based and community settings.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with young people, schools, and families or carers.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate effective lessons, with sound organizational and time-management skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach, with a genuine interest in supporting positive outcomes for young people.
- Relevant teaching or tutoring experience; Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent education-related qualification is highly beneficial.
- Competence with basic digital tools (e.g., online learning platforms, word processing, video conferencing) to support hybrid delivery.
- Awareness of safeguarding and child protection practices; willingness to complete required checks and training (e.g., DBS).
- Flexibility to work across different settings in Wigan and the surrounding area, with reliability in maintaining scheduled sessions.

Additional Requirements
In this role you must hold a UK driver's licence and have a car.
