Company Description

Since 1989, Lionheart Education has been providing bespoke, confidential educational consultancy and tutoring to families worldwide. Our London school, LSL, offers full-time, one-to-one tuition built entirely around the individual learner, and our wider network of tutors delivers home-based tuition across a wide range of subjects throughout the UK.

We start from trust: a learner who feels safe enough to ask a genuine question is a learner who is actually thinking. Confidence and curiosity follow from there, and so, in time, does the grade.

Role Description

Tutors at Lionheart deliver individual instruction to learners across a range of ages and subjects, planning lessons, tracking progress and adjusting their approach as a student's needs change. This is a contract, hybrid role based in the London area — a mix of in-person sessions in learners' homes or at LSL, alongside online tutoring and lesson preparation from home. Tutors work closely with families and our consultants, feeding back regularly and shaping learning plans together rather than working from a fixed script.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We're currently particularly keen to hear from A-Level tutors in Maths, Science, Geography and Psychology, though strong tutors in any subject are welcome to apply. Safeguarding and professional standards run through all of it.

Qualifications

  • Strong subject-matter expertise in one or more academic areas (English, Mathematics, Sciences, Humanities or Languages, among others)
  • Tutoring or teaching experience with school-age learners, ideally with UK and international curricula
  • Ability to plan structured lessons and adapt teaching methods to how a student actually learns, not just what the syllabus assumes
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills, with a track record of building trust with learners and their families
  • Tutors with SEND, SEMH or EBSA experience are particularly welcome — many of the students we work with haven't found their footing in a mainstream classroom, and we're looking for people who already know how to help them find it.
  • Sound organisation and time management across multiple learners, lesson prep and progress tracking
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a relevant subject, or equivalent professional experience
  • Comfortable teaching online as well as in person
  • Committed to safeguarding, confidentiality and professional integrity, including the relevant background checks
