TV Editor

Brands: TV Guide & Entertainment Daily (ED!)
Reporting to: Group Editor-in-Chief
Location: Remote / Hybrid (UK-based)
Salary: £32,000 – £40,000 depending on experience
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Closing date: Friday, October 9

About the role

We're hiring a TV Editor to lead entertainment, reality and factual TV coverage across Entertainment Daily (ED!) and TV Guide.

We want a real story-finder: someone who knows UK television inside out and brings original ideas, fresh angles and real exclusives. Rounding up three comments from X or quotes from a press junket won’t cut it in this role.

You'll own the TV agenda across both sites and deliver content that wins in Google Search, Google Discover and Facebook and keeps readers coming back for more. You'll write the stories, and our in-house AI tools will help you get them further.

What you'll be doing

  • Setting the TV agenda: Lead daily coverage of entertainment, reality and factual TV (and contribute to other genres) across ED! and TV Guide, making sure every story has a sharp, original angle.
  • Breaking original stories: Pitch and deliver exclusive interviews, original lines and fresh takes on the biggest shows.
  • Driving audience: Package stories to perform in Google Top Stories, Discover and AI Overviews, and write headlines that work on Facebook.
  • Using the AI pipeline: Work with our in-house tools to adapt and distribute your stories across the group's sites and social channels.
  • Planning and freelance direction: Keep a forward planner of launches, returning series and factual drops, and brief freelancers on the angles you want.
  • Working across desks: Coordinate with our Celebrity and Social desks on major talent and crossover shows.
  • Video (desirable): Script and present short clips for Reels, TikTok and Facebook covering big TV moments and original takes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
