About the Role

At Mohawk Industries, we’re driven by innovation, sustainability, and the opportunity to grow. As a global leader in flooring, Mohawk offers a dynamic environment where team members can thrive—whether through innovation, leadership, or skill development. Join us as a Yarn Twister Operator to play a key role in manufacturing operations.

Primary Objective

Set up, operate, and tend to machines that twist yarn together to produce high-quality fibre yarn packages for downstream textile and flooring manufacturing processes.

Major Functions and Scope

  • Creel and machine preparation:

    • Creel single or double-ply yarn packages and load yarn into the twister system.
    • Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and prepare tubes for winder operation.
  • Machine operation and maintenance:

    • Operate consecutive spinning units to process and twist fibre yarn.
    • Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
    • Perform quality checks, including using black lights, to ensure yarn meets specifications.
    • Clean and dechoke spindles to keep machines running efficiently.
  • Yarn handling and transfer:

    • Thread ends of single yarns and repair breakouts during production runs.
    • Doff twisted yarn packages from conveyor belts and transfer them to designated buggies/containers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
