Job Title: Twister Operator
Primary Objective
Set up, operate, and tend multiple machines that twist yarn together in a structured framework.
Major Functions and Scope
To perform this role successfully, you will be responsible for:

Loading:
- Creel single or double ply yarn packages into the twister machinery.
- Stage tubes for winder operations after repositioning buggies of yarn back at twisters.

Production Operations:
- Thread ends of single yarns and operate spinds.
- Monitor machine equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Repair strand breakouts during production processes.

Packaging and Logistics:
- Transmit twisted packages from conveyors to buggies or containers post-operation.

Maintenance and Cleaning:
- Clean and de-clog spindles for sustained machine efficiency and adherence to production demands.
- Perform quality checks utilizing black light inspections on the final yarn.

- Compliance and Safety:
- Follow safety procedures, company policies, and standard operating protocols.
- Attend mandatory job-related trainings as instructed by supervision.
- Conduct general housekeeping activities as deemed necessary.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Experience, and Certifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Required Experience: Successful completion of all mandatory on-job training and health & environmental safety training programs.
- Technical Knowledge: Previous experience in yarn-related or manufacturing roles is preferred.
Competencies
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Ability to operate effectively within a team-based environment.
- Basic math skills to support quality and production processes.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Capability to resolve problems involving standardized situations and variables.
- Skill in reading product specifications and instructions to follow production protocols.
Physical Requirements
This position requires consistent physical exertion and exposure to industrial environments:
- Physical Tasks: Prolonged bending, squatting, and climbing.
- Strength Requirements: Capable to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Environmental Conditions: Operate around moving machinery and potential exposure to chemicals, noise, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures.
