TypeScript Coding Specialist - Freelance AI Trainer Project
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a TypeScript Coding Specialist - Freelance AI Trainer Project based in United Kingdom.
Join a cutting-edge AI training project where your TypeScript expertise will directly contribute to improving the capabilities of advanced language models.
- You’ll help evaluate and strengthen AI performance across software engineering, coding, and complex technical problem-solving scenarios.
- The role covers algorithms, data structures, software architecture, frontend and backend development, cloud infrastructure, and systems programming.
- You’ll challenge models with realistic TypeScript tasks and assess their reasoning, coding accuracy, quality, and security.
- Your insights will help identify failure modes, improve evaluation methods, and make AI-generated technical outputs more reliable.
This is a flexible freelance opportunity suited to experienced developers, technical writers, and open-source contributors who enjoy analyzing and explaining complex concepts.
By contributing your expertise, you’ll help shape AI systems designed to support engineers, developers, and learners worldwide.
Accountabilities:
- Engage with advanced AI models on software engineering tasks and technical scenarios using TypeScript.
- Evaluate model responses for logical accuracy, coding fluency, correctness, clarity, and overall software quality.
- Challenge AI systems across algorithms, data structures, software architecture, frontend and backend development, cloud infrastructure, and systems programming.
- Test areas such as asynchronous programming, RESTful API integration, memory management, object-oriented design, secure coding practices, and distributed systems debugging.
- Identify and document reproducible failure modes, logical inconsistencies, coding errors, and areas where model reasoning can be improved.
- Provide structured feedback and recommendations to strengthen prompt engineering approaches and evaluation metrics.
- Clearly explain technical reasoning and demonstrate how conclusions are reached when assessing AI-generated solutions.

Requirements:
- Strong practical expertise in TypeScript and software engineering.
- Solid knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software architecture, and modern development practices.
- Experience with frontend and/or backend development, APIs, cloud infrastructure, or systems programming is highly relevant.
- Familiarity with asynchronous programming, RESTful APIs, object-oriented design, memory management, secure coding, debugging, and distributed systems.
- A bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related technical discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
- Real-world TypeScript development experience, technical writing, or open-source contributions is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify subtle technical inaccuracies and evaluate AI-generated code objectively.
- Excellent metacognitive communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain your reasoning and “show your work.”
