Company Description / Business Unit

For over a century, The AA has been keeping Britain moving. Today, millions of drivers trust us to be there when it matters most, and we're equally committed to supporting the people who make that possible. With a 4.5-star Glassdoor rating, we've built a culture where colleagues are empowered to grow, collaborate, and make a real impact for our customers on every journey. This has been recognized by Sunday Times as “Best Places to Work” for the last two years.

This is the Job

This is a chance to shape how The AA prices and grows its emerging tyre proposition, with your work directly influencing customer value, revenue, and margin.

Based within Roadside, you’ll own end-to-end tyre pricing and help develop the commercial proposition across roadside, B2C, and B2B channels. You’ll translate manufacturer, wholesaler, delivery, and fitting costs, market movements, and competitor pricing into clear, controlled pricing and product decisions.

You’ll also shape product ranges, supplier economics, rebates, and proposition roadmaps, partnering across Tyre Network, Finance, Procurement, Digital, Operations, Sales, and Marketing. You’ll thrive if you enjoy turning complex commercial data into clear recommendations, taking ownership through to implementation, and constructively challenging assumptions to improve outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What Will I Be Doing?

  • Own the end-to-end tyre pricing model, converting supplier, delivery, and fitting costs into competitive sell-out prices that support revenue, margin, and customer value.
  • Set and maintain pricing rules across tyres, brands, suppliers, fulfilment tiers, customer channels, and service scenarios so pricing is applied consistently across customer journeys.
  • Monitor supplier price files, market movements, and competitor pricing, recommending timely changes that protect competitiveness and commercial performance.
  • Analyse and reconcile rebates, volume incentives, marketing support, and other commercial terms so earned value is accurately forecast, claimed, and realised.
  • Build commercial scenarios and business cases covering volume, penetration, selling price, cost-to-serve, margin, and rebate assumptions to support proposition and investment decisions.
  • Define and govern the tyre product catalogue and lead the development of B2C and B2B propositions, using customer, market, and operational insight to shape ranges, service options, fulfilment, and commercial models.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to launch and optimise propositions, strengthen pricing controls and performance reporting, and ensure accurate product, cost, and pricing data supports ecommerce, booking, payment, and management information.

What Do I Need?

You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience managing large product and price files, including data validation, exception management, and controlled price changes.
  • Experience developing and managing B2C and B2B commercial propositions from customer need and product design through launch, performance review, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the confidence to influence and constructively challenge senior stakeholders across functions, supported by advanced Microsoft Excel and strong PowerPoint capability.
