Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday
Job Type: Permanent
Our client is looking for an experienced Tyre Fitter / Tyre Technician to join their busy team in Hemel Hempstead. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tyre professional who is looking to develop their skills and work across a wide range of vehicles and equipment. Following full training, you will have the opportunity to work on everything from cars and vans through to commercial vehicles and plant machinery.
The Role
As a Tyre Fitter, you will be responsible for fitting, removing, repairing and maintaining tyres across a varied range of vehicles and machinery.
Your duties will include:
- Fitting and removing car, van, commercial and plant tyres
- Carrying out tyre inspections and identifying damage or wear
- Tyre repairs and puncture repairs
- Wheel and tyre balancing
- Checking tyre pressures and tread depths
- Ensuring tyres are fitted safely and correctly
- Working with a range of commercial vehicles, plant machinery and passenger vehicles
- Maintaining a high standard of health and safety
- Working as part of a busy workshop team
- Developing your knowledge and skills through on-the-job training

About You
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Tyre Fitter, Tyre Technician, Commercial Tyre Fitter, Tyre Installer or Vehicle Tyre Technician. Experience working with cars, vans, HGVs, commercial vehicles, agricultural vehicles or plant machinery would be advantageous, although full training will be provided to develop your skills across different types of tyres and equipment.
You should have:
- Previous experience working as a Tyre Fitter / Tyre Technician
- Good practical and mechanical ability
- Experience fitting, removing or repairing tyres
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail
- A safety-conscious approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A full UK driving licence would be advantageous
