Role Description

The Tyre Fitter role is a full-time, on-site position based in Worthing. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Fitting, balancing, and changing tyres on a variety of vehicles
  • Checking tyre condition and tread depth
  • Advising customers on suitable tyre options
  • Performing puncture repairs
  • Aligning wheels using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards

  • Keep the workshop clean and organized
  • Maintain tools and machinery
  • Follow company procedures and health and safety guidelines
  • Provide clear, courteous customer service
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues

Qualifications

  • Practical experience in tyre fitting, wheel balancing, and puncture repair, ideally in an automotive workshop environment
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and confidence using hand tools, lifting equipment, and tyre fitting machinery
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on safety, accurate measurements, and adherence to procedures
  • Good customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain work carried out and advise customers clearly
  • Ability to work on-site full time in Worthing, including standing for extended periods and handling physical tasks safely
  • Reliable time management, ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant experience in automotive service; formal training or certification in vehicle maintenance or tyre fitting is an advantage
  • A valid driver’s license is beneficial for moving vehicles as required
