Job Description
Are you ready to accelerate your career with a dynamic and innovative F1 team? We are looking to expand our well-established team with an Engineer who is motivated to significantly contribute to our relentless pursuit of excellence. We are looking for a Tyre Performance Engineer to join us at Enstone. This position will play a crucial role in helping us push for podiums and race wins.
Your challenge:
As our Tyre Performance Engineer, you will play an important role providing real-time and data-driven support to Race Team engineers and Race Drivers to ensure that car setup and tyre utilisation is optimised to achieve the maximum possible overall performance.
You will:
- Evaluate and optimise tyre utilisation during track tests and race events to ensure maximum overall performance of cars during qualifying and racing.
- Support pre/in/post-event tyre analysis and reporting.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts efficiently in high-pressure situations to audiences of different backgrounds (drivers, senior management, race engineers…).
- Develop and refine tyre models, simulation tools, and grip mapping methodologies.
- Assist with data analysis support for tyre testing, model correlation, and future tyre performance forecasting.
- Support tyre-specific Simulator testing, including test specification, real-time support during testing, post-test data analysis, and reporting.
- Continuously improve operational processes and analysis tools.
The position is split between the factory and racetrack.

Who we want:
We are looking to enhance our talented team with someone who has previous experience, ideally within F1 or another high-level motorsport. You will have an active and curious mindset, constantly striving to enhance your own capabilities and those of the wider team by helping to improve our methodology and processes, championing best practice, and contributing towards the standardisation of our approach to control strategies.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent in Engineering with a track record of working to a consistently high standard in pressurised and time-sensitive situations.
You will have a strong understanding of tyre physics, vehicle dynamics, simulation, and data analysis, with experience in using MATLAB or Python an advantage.
We need someone who is self-motivated, analytical, and a pragmatic decision-maker capable of working with minimal supervision. We seek someone with a creative, innovative, and consistent approach to problem-solving.
