Role Profile - TYDC Operative
Purpose
All staff in this role are required to work flexibly across all areas of TYDC (tyres, alloys, core processing, picking and putaway). The purpose of the role is to ensure that all components are accurately processed, quality-checked, tagged, stored and moved through TYDC efficiently, safely and to a high standard.

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Reporting to
TYDC Assistant Manager
Duties & Responsibilities
- Process tyres, alloys and core components in line with procedure
- Ensure all car parts are in sound order with no damage prior to processing
- Prepare all parts ready for checking, photographing, and system processing where required
- Carry out FLT and Flexi truck duties to support stock movement, putaway and picking activities
- Identify, process, and correctly handle damaged parts in line with company procedures
- Escalate any quality, damage or system issues promptly
- Ensure all parts are accurately tagged, labelled and marked appropriately
- Ensure all tagged items are placed into the correct designated TYDC locations
- Complete timely and accurate picking of all stock lines as required
- Carry out putaway and replenishment of stock across TYDC locations
- Support stock accuracy through correct placement, movement, and identification of items
- Support inventory checks and general stock control activities when required
- Support colleagues across operational areas as required also
- Work closely with Warehouse and Production Line teams to maintain workflow efficiency
- Package products to the required quality standards ready for dispatch where applicable
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately, checked, and passed to relevant departments in a timely manner
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across TYDC, including workstations and surrounding areas
- Adhere to all statutory and company Health & Safety requirements at all times
- Ensure safe systems of work are followed and raise any safety concerns immediately
- Comply with manual handling guidelines and VDU safety procedures where applicable

- Good basic knowledge of vehicle parts (tyres, alloys, and core components).
- Forklift and Flexi experience desirable
- Previous warehouse, production, or component processing experience preferred.
- Level 1 in Car Mechanics desirable but not essential.
- Manual handling experience.
- Able to work with a high level of care, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment.
- Health and safety conscious with a proactive approach to risk.
- Good IT skills, including the use of mobile phones and tablets.
- Reliable, flexible, and willing to cover all TYDC operational areas.
- Strong work ethic with good communication skills.
