Tyre Technician
Our client, one of the UK's fastest-growing fast-fit automotive businesses, is currently looking for a Tyre Technician based at their retail centre in Carlisle.
Role Overview
As a Tyre Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out accurate tyre fitting and repairs, as well as supporting with a range of fast-fit mechanical work, including brakes, exhausts, and basic servicing.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Tyre Technician looking for a long-term career with excellent training and progression opportunities.
Key Details
- Location: Carlisle
- Pay/Salary: £34,500 basic depending on experience and qualifications
- OTE: Approximately £3,600 achievable bonus
- Shift and Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30, 42.5 hours per week; Saturdays on a rota.

Tyre Technician Responsibilities
- Carrying out accurate tyre fitting, replacements, and repairs
- Completing fast-fit mechanical work, including exhaust and brake repairs and replacements
- Carrying out basic servicing work
- Maintaining accurate documentation in line with company policies and procedures
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with industry-leading standards
- Ensuring customers' vehicles are left clean and free from any dirt, oil, or marks resulting from the work carried out
- Working with the rest of the workshop team to achieve targets
- Working safely and in line with company health and safety procedures
Requirements
To be a Tyre Technician you will need:
- Valid UK driving licence held for at least 6 months (Essential)
- NVQ, IMI, or City & Guilds Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent. Level 2 qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, HGV, LCV, or PSV Vehicle Maintenance and Repair will also be considered
- At least 1 year of experience working as a Tyre Technician
- A passion for the Automotive industry and a desire to learn and develop further
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
