UAS Training Instructor
As a UAS Training Instructor, you will play a critical role within our Training, Demonstration, and Documentation team. Through close collaboration with defence, government, and public safety customers across the UK and internationally, you will become a key representative of Quantum-Systems. Your expertise and ability to deliver high-quality training will ensure customers can safely, effectively, and confidently operate our unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
In this customer-facing role, you will lead training programmes and product demonstrations for operators, military personnel, law enforcement agencies, and senior stakeholders. You will work closely with the Government Sales team to support customer engagement, showcase operational capabilities, and contribute to the continued success of Quantum-Systems in the UK and international defence markets.
Your Day-to-Day Mission
Prepare and Maintain UAS Operational Readiness
- Ensure all UAS platforms, payloads, and supporting equipment are fully operational and ready for customer demonstrations and training activities worldwide.
- Conduct pre-deployment inspections, system checks, and troubleshooting to maintain the highest levels of operational readiness.
Develop and Maintain Training Programmes
- Support in creating, updating, and continuously improving training materials, including manuals, presentations, lesson plans, and practical exercises.
- Support in ensuring training content remains aligned with product developments, operational requirements, and customer needs.
Deliver Practical Flight Training
- Lead classroom and field-based training primarily on fixed-wing UAS platforms
- Instruct customers on mission planning, pre-flight preparation, flight operations, emergency procedures, post-flight activities, and data exploitation.
- Promote best practices for operational safety and mission effectiveness.
Evaluate Learner Performance
- Assess participants during both theoretical and practical training exercises.
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to support competence development and operational proficiency.
- Maintain accurate training records and certification documentation where required.

Conduct Professional Product Demonstrations
- Deliver engaging and impactful demonstrations to prospective customers and stakeholders.
- Use your operational experience to effectively communicate real-world use cases and mission benefits.
- Present confidently to audiences ranging from end users and operators to senior military officers, procurement officials, and government decision-makers.
What you bring to the team:
- Military, law enforcement, intelligence, or other government service background, ideally with operational deployment experience.
- Proven experience delivering training to defence, security, public safety, or government organisations.
- You already have, or have the ability to acquire, Multi rotor and Fixed wing UAS licenses within the UK and Europe.
- Ideally, experience operating and instructing on fixed-wing UAS platforms
- Strong presentation, communication, and instructional skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- The ability to independently plan, deliver, and evaluate training programmes in English. Additional language skills would be advantageous.
- A professional and confident manner when interacting with senior military, government, and security stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the UK and internationally, including to remote and challenging operational environments.
- Experience working in multinational and multicultural environments is desirable.
