About The Role

Huxley Associates is seeking an experienced Senior WPF C Sharp .Net Developer to join a leading investment bank. This pivotal role involves leading the design, development, and delivery of a high-performance, low-latency electronic trading UI platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the technical direction of the trading interface, ensuring it meets the rigorous demands of a global trading environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge trading technology, collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple regions to deliver innovative solutions that enhance trading efficiency and user experience.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Science or Engineering, complemented by extensive technical expertise in software development. Deep proficiency in C# and WPF is essential, with a comprehensive understanding of the full WPF stack, including dispatcher, dependency properties, virtualization, and performance optimization under high-frequency update conditions. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across diverse stakeholder groups and work proactively within a fast-paced environment. Proven experience in leading complex UI applications, particularly in multi-threaded, low-latency messaging systems, is required. Additional qualifications include familiarity with Linux, UNIX, Solaris, Agile methodologies, version control tools like GIT, and transport layer technologies such as TCP, WebSocket, Refinitiv, and Tibco Rendezvous. Troubleshooting and profiling skills on both Linux and Windows platforms are also highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and development of a high-performance, low-latency electronic trading UI platform, ensuring it supports a globally distributed user base spanning multiple trading desks and regions.
  • Own the end-to-end development lifecycle, including roadmap planning, sprint management, dependency coordination with server-side teams, and delivery timelines.
  • Architect and govern the UI layer, focusing on component design, threading models, data binding, and patterns that sustain high throughput without compromising UI performance.
  • Mentor and manage a team of UI developers both onshore and offshore, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with regional and global technology partners and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality UI products that meet evolving trading requirements.
  • Engage with end-users to gather feedback, understand their needs, and translate these insights into practical UI enhancements.
  • Work closely with management and horizontal teams to shape and execute the strategic UI roadmap, aligning technological advancements with business goals.
  • Promote and uphold development best practices, including code reviews, pairing, unit testing, and regression testing to ensure robust and maintainable codebases.
