Are you an experienced UI Engineer with strong C++ skills and a passion for creating polished, high-quality player experiences?
We're working with a leading AAA game development studio seeking a talented UI Engineer to support an established, award-winning racing franchise. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside world-class Art, Design and Engineering teams, developing cutting-edge UI systems and technology for one of the industry's most successful game series.
About The Role
As a UI Engineer, you will work closely with artists, designers and engineers to deliver intuitive, engaging and performant user interface features that support the overall vision of the game.
You'll contribute across the entire UI technology stack, developing both player-facing features and core UI technology while helping improve performance, workflows and tooling. This role offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on both the user experience and the underlying systems that support it.
We're looking for someone who is technically strong, self-sufficient and passionate about building exceptional game experiences.
What You'll Do
- Implement high-quality UI features that support the game's vision and player experience
- Develop and maintain core UI systems and technologies within a proprietary game engine.
- Work across multiple layers of the UI technology stack to improve functionality and performance.
- Collaborate closely with UI Artists and Designers to bring creative concepts to life.
- Develop tools and workflows that empower content creators and improve efficiency
- Partner with Engineering teams to ensure UI systems are scalable, robust and maintainable.
- Work with technical leads to plan, estimate and deliver UI features.
- Contribute to feature optimisation and performance improvements.
- Support technology evolution and expansion of UI capabilities across the project.

What We're Looking For
Experience
- Commercial experience as a UI Engineer within the games industry.
- Contribution to at least one published game title.
- Experience on AAA projects is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary development teams.
Technical Skills
- Strong C++ programming skills.
- Experience developing user interfaces for games.
- Understanding of UI architecture, performance considerations and implementation workflows.
- Experience developing features within game engines.
- Knowledge of UI frameworks and technologies
- Understanding of software engineering best practices and code quality standards.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with WPF or similar UI frameworks.
- Experience working with proprietary game engines.
- Familiarity with UI tools, pipelines and content workflows.
- Experience developing tools that support artists and designers.
