Lighthouse Games - UI Technical Artist
Lighthouse Games is leading the charge in crafting immersive and engaging AAA titles from our studio in Leamington Spa. We are a team of passionate professionals dedicated to creating exceptional gaming experiences. Our studio environment encourages creativity and collaboration to bring out the best in every project.
We are looking for a talented UI Technical Artist to bring our user interface designs to life in Unreal Engine. Working closely with UI Artists, Designers and Engineers, you will turn visual concepts and UX specifications into responsive, polished and functional in-game interfaces.
Your primary focus will be hands-on technical implementation, building and maintaining UI screens, menus and HUD elements. You will combine a strong eye for visual detail with practical technical skills, ensuring our interfaces look great, perform efficiently and work consistently across different platforms and input methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement UI screens, menus and HUD elements in Unreal Engine using UMG and widget Blueprints, translating artwork and UX specifications into polished, functional interfaces
- Build reusable widgets and scalable UI structures that maintain visual consistency and support efficient iteration
- Implement UI animations, transitions and interactive feedback, including navigation and input handling for controller, keyboard and mouse
- Collaborate with Artists, Designers and Engineers to connect interfaces to gameplay systems and data while preserving the intended visual quality and user experience
- Test, troubleshoot and optimise interfaces for performance, different resolutions, aspect ratios, localisation and accessibility requirements
- Improve and document UI implementation workflows, tools and technical guidelines

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
