TGG Ltd (trading as The Genius Group) is a South Manchester-based performance marketing and lead generation group, operating a portfolio of high-volume consumer brands across financial services, legal and automotive finance - including Ask Rose, Allegiant Financial, Car Finance 4U, HD Law and Reverse Life. We generate leads at scale across these brands. We’re 3rd in the Sunday Times 2026 Fastrack 100 for fastest growing companies.
You will be the primary UI/UX and design resource within our digital experience team, responsible for the design craft, journey execution, and landing page production that underpins the group's conversion programme. Working closely with the Head of CRO & Data Analytics and our Creative and Content leads, you will translate data-driven hypotheses into well-designed, thoroughly tested experiences, and work at pace to support the paid media team with campaign landing pages across the brand portfolio. This is a design role with a commercial mandate: success is judged on qualified leads and revenue, not on how the work looks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conversion rate optimisation
- Contribute to the CRO roadmap, bringing design and UX perspective to hypothesis prioritisation and helping maintain a structured, data-driven testing backlog.
- Design and build the test variants for A/B and multivariate experiments, seeing each through from design brief to production-ready execution.
- Determine sample sizes and run times before launch, and call tests honestly - including the ones that lose or come out flat.
- Maintain a documented record of every test, so the business compounds what it learns rather than relitigating the same debates.
Journey, funnel and landing page design
- Map end-to-end customer journeys across each brand, identify where users drop out, quantify the cost of each drop-off point and identify opportunities for cross sell to other campaigns.
- Design and iterate landing pages, forms, quote flows and application journeys - from wireframe through to production-ready design.
- Build and rapidly iterate campaign landing pages in support of paid media activity, working to campaign timelines.
- Improve form and multi-step journey completion - field design, validation, progress indication, error handling and mobile behaviour.
- Work with the Content and Creative teams to ensure that copy, messaging hierarchy, CTA text, microcopy and error states work together with the visual design to reduce friction and improve completion rates — recognising that what a page says is as important as how it looks.
Research and insight
- Use analytics, heatmapping, session recording and funnel reporting to find friction and evidence its impact.
- Run moderated and unmoderated user testing, and on-site surveys, to understand why users behave as they do - not just that they do.
- Translate insight into clear, prioritised recommendations that other teams can act on.
- Conduct research and review competitor website journeys to identify UX/UI opportunities that could increase conversion rates.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Design standards and governance
- Maintain consistent, well-documented design patterns across brands so improvements in one place can be reused in another.
- Ensure designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA) and work properly on mobile.
- Work within regulatory constraints for our regulated entities - financial promotions must be clear, fair and not misleading, and CRO changes to regulated journeys require compliance sign-off.
Working with others
- Work closely with the in-house Creative team on landing page visual design, ensuring consistency between ad creative and landing page experience - from imagery and copy through to layout and brand treatment.
- Partner with paid media, content, development, and CRO teams to get tests and new pages live quickly and cleanly. Present results and recommendations to the Head of CRO & Data Analytics, and senior stakeholders in commercial language.
- Build UX and conversion literacy across the marketing and creative teams so good practice spreads beyond this role - contributing to a shared understanding of what makes journeys convert.
What you’ll walk in to
TGG operates a portfolio of high-volume consumer brands across financial services, legal and automotive finance - including Ask Rose, Allegiant Financial, Car Finance 4U, HD Law and Reverse Life. The paid media engine is well-established and generating significant traffic, primarily via Meta and other digital paid media channels plus offline media including direct mail and call centres but the conversion layer has not had dedicated design ownership until now. You will inherit an existing tech stack including Convert for A/B testing and Mouseflow for behavioural analytics, a development team who can build and Quality Assess what you specify, and a backlog of journeys and landing pages across multiple brands that represent a significant and largely untapped conversion opportunity. You will work alongside in-house performance marketing, content, creative, CRO and development teams - a full-service internal capability that most businesses at this stage do not have. The role has been created because the business has recognised that getting more from existing traffic is one of the highest-return investments it can make.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
- Demonstrable experience of 3+ years in a CRO, UX or product design role with direct responsibility for conversion performance.
- A portfolio or case studies showing measurable uplift - what you changed, why, and what it delivered.
- Experience with behavioural tools such as Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity or Contentsquare.
- Proficiency in Figma, including wireframing, prototyping and design systems.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS - enough to specify changes accurately and QA what is built.
- Experience briefing, designing and/or building landing pages
- Understanding of accessibility requirements and mobile-first design.
- The commercial instinct to prioritise by business impact, and the confidence to argue for it with evidence.
- An understanding that conversion is driven by content and copy as much as design — with the ability to write or brief clear, purposeful microcopy for forms, CTAs, error states and journey steps.

Desirable
- Background in B2C lead generation, performance marketing or a high-volume consumer environment using multiple media channels.
- Experience in a regulated sector - financial services, legal or insurance.
- Experience working across multiple brands or entities.
- Hands-on experience running A/B tests using a recognised testing platform (for example VWO, Optimizely, Convert or equivalent).
- A sound working understanding of test validity - sample size, run time, statistical significance, and the common ways tests mislead.
- Strong analytics capability, including GA4 and funnel/segment analysis.
- Familiarity with personalisation, server-side testing or feature-flagging tools.
- Comfortable with SPA frameworks and dealing closely with developers.
- Exposure to lead quality and CRM attribution - understanding that a converted form is not always a good lead.
- Experience with tag management and event tracking implementation.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
In the first twelve months, we would expect to see:
- A structured pipeline of UX and design improvements feeding into the CRO roadmap, with a consistent cadence of tests running.
- Measurable improvement in conversion rate across priority journeys.
- Improvement in lead quality alongside volume - not volume at the expense of it.
- A documented, searchable test archive that the business actually uses.
- Faster landing page turnaround for campaign activity.
