The Role

The UK Affiliate Quality Director is responsible for establishing and maintaining the affiliate Quality Management System and ensuring compliance with UK Good Distribution Practice (GDP), MHRA requirements and Genmab Global Quality standards.

The role holder will be nominated as the Responsible Person (RP & RPi) on the affiliate’s Wholesale Distribution Authorisation WDA(H). The role has no line management responsibilities.

The position leads the UK affiliate Quality function and is embedded in Quality Global Affiliates, working closely with the UK General Manager and relevant global functions. The role combines strategic Quality leadership with hands-on responsibility for affiliate establishment, launch readiness and ongoing operations, exercising independent Quality judgement and the authority necessary to fulfil the designated statutory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Affiliate Establishment and Collaboration

  • Lead the Quality workstream for establishment of the UK affiliate and its wholesale distribution authorisation WDA(H)
  • Ensure that the QMS, procedures, training, quality agreements, risk assessments and supply-chain controls are operational before commercial launch
  • Partner with Global Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Medical and Commercial functions
  • Provide independent Quality advice to UK affiliate leadership and escalate significant compliance risks
  • Establish and maintain documented absence and continuity arrangements for RP/RPi duties including suitable cover, handovers, system access and escalation arrangements

Responsible Person and Regulatory Compliance

  • Fulfil the responsibilities of the Responsible Person under applicable UK pharmaceutical legislation
  • Establish and maintain a documented system to verify the required QP certification for batches imported from approved countries for import, retaining appropriate evidence
  • Ensure that authorised wholesale distribution activities remain within the scope of the WDA
  • Act as the primary affiliate contact for GDP-related regulatory inspections and authority interactions, coordinating required notifications and responses with relevant functions
  • Exercise independent authority to place products on Quality hold, prevent supply or suspend distribution activities where product quality, patient safety or regulatory compliance may be compromised

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
