UK and International Tax Manager opportunity at SHL
Role Overview:
As the UK & International Tax Manager you will support the Global Head of Tax with various aspects of tax compliance, planning, and policy. This role will own vital compliance relationships in the UK and other locations, support R&D and Patent Box planning, be a key first point of contact with the business, and provide advice on tax matters within the business. As a subject matter expert on the UK, you will be expected to provide both technical and commercial advice to finance, commercial, and operational teams. You will also have tax accounting experience so as to be able to support Financial Reporting with any and all tax reporting for statutory reporting.

Job Locations:
- Thames Ditton, UK
- Gurugram, India
Primary Accountabilities:
- Work with the Global Head of Tax and other key decision makers within the business to deliver tax strategy
- Ownership of all key UK tax matters
- Support the Head of Tax on M&A, tax audits, and any other advisory work
- Assist with tax reporting for statutory financial statements and forecasting
- Act as tax business partner for UK
Personal Requirements for Role:
Experience:
- Qualified Accountant or Chartered Accountant or Tax advisor with proven post-qualification experience
- UK tax technical knowledge required
- Tax accounting knowledge required
- Knowledge or experience of transactions and post-merger/acquisition integrations would be useful
- Knowledge of PE backed businesses would be useful
- Familiarity with R&D and/or Patent Box would be useful
