Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior business development consultant to drive new business growth across the UK market.
The ideal candidate will bring 5–7 years of B2B business development experience within IT services, technology staffing, recruitment or workforce solutions, along with a strong understanding of the UK enterprise landscape.
This is a new-business-focused role for someone who can independently identify opportunities, build senior-level relationships and take deals from initial conversation through to commercial closure.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across the UK market, focusing on IT services and technology staffing solutions.
- Target and win new enterprise and mid-market clients through strategic prospecting, networking, referrals and industry events.
- Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers across Technology, Procurement, Talent Acquisition and HR.
- Understand client technology and hiring challenges and position tailored IT services, SOW and staffing solutions.
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through proposals, commercial negotiation and closure.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline with clear revenue and gross profit forecasts.
- Grow existing accounts through cross-selling and land-and-expand opportunities.
- Collaborate with delivery teams and actively represent Welocity.ai across the UK technology ecosystem.

Candidate Profile
- 7 years of proven B2B sales/business development experience within the UK IT services, technology consulting, staffing or recruitment market.
- Demonstrable experience winning enterprise and mid-market clients and developing new accounts from the ground up.
- Strong track record of achieving or exceeding commercial targets, ideally £500k+ gross profit and/or £1M+ annual contract value.
- Established relationships or a strong professional network within the UK technology and staffing ecosystem.
- Excellent face-to-face communication, negotiation, objection handling and consultative closing skills.
- Commercially driven, proactive and comfortable working in a high-energy, office-based sales environment.
- Existing relationships with UK enterprise technology, procurement, HR or talent leaders.
