Business Facilities & IT Ops Support
In this role, you will provide first-line support across IT, business operations and building facilities, helping to ensure our people have the systems, technology and working environment they need to perform at their best. You will troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day hardware, software and infrastructure issues, escalating more complex problems where required, while also supporting the smooth running and maintenance of our facilities.
This is a varied, hands-on role that requires excellent customer service, strong technical aptitude, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be someone who enjoys helping others, pays close attention to detail, and is keen to learn, with the ability to communicate confidently with colleagues and manage a range of priorities. Ultimately, you will play an important role in keeping our IT, facilities, and business operations running smoothly and efficiently.

What will I be doing?
IT level 1 Support
Service Desk and End-User Support
- Respond to IT support requests received by phone, email, or the ticketing system in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide clear guidance to end users on IT enquiries, including password resets, account set-up, software installations, and building access control.
Technical Troubleshooting and Escalation
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues relating to hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripheral devices.
- Troubleshoot basic cabling requirements, including running network cables and patching leads where required. This may involve working at a height.
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Level 2 or Level 3 support teams.
Ticketing, Documentation and Continuous Improvement
- Accurately document support activity, solutions and troubleshooting steps in the helpdesk ticketing system.
- Work with IT colleagues to identify recurring issues and contribute to knowledge base articles and training materials.
Asset, Device and Workplace Support
- Support IT asset management, including inventory tracking, equipment provisioning, and software licensing compliance.
- Manage the deployment and support of mobile devices.
- Schedule incoming department moves and room set-up requests.
Operations/Maintenance Support
Facilities, Equipment and Infrastructure
- Investigate infrastructure and facilities equipment issues, liaising with maintenance providers to minimise downtime.
- Arrange and schedule preventative maintenance visits in line with manufacturer recommendations.
- Maintain a working understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure.
- Quickly identify the root cause of onsite equipment or system failures and complete day-to-day repairs where appropriate.
Health, Safety and Compliance champion
- Take an active role in maintaining a safe working environment for associates, visitors, and contractors.
- Carry out regular facility audits and building walkarounds, proactively identifying hazards or issues and following up on required actions.
- Keep all documentation up to date for audit purposes.
Contractor, Supplier and Inventory Management

- Manage onsite contractors and coordinate maintenance contract renewals.
- Purchase and manage basic inventory, stationery, and internal catering supplies.
Projects and Operational Support
- Support project management activities and help implement new solutions.
- On call, availability is required for 24/7 out-of-hours on a Rota basis.
