Lupos Global is a technical recruitment consultancy that provides candidates with opportunities across the Engineering/Defence and Aerospace & Aviation sectors worldwide. We guarantee staffing solutions through our excellent candidate relationships that have been nurtured by our team of experts whose credibility and expertise have developed over many years of sector-specific experience.
Lupos Global has a requirement for a UK CAA Fleet Performance Engineer to be based in Manchester. This is a permanent position and starting ASAP!
This role manages and develops our client’s preventative maintenance programme and leads the airline’s predictive maintenance philosophy for their fleet of Embraer E190 aircraft. With a focus on the highest levels of aircraft reliability, this role helps ensure they carry their passengers safely, and on time, to their desired destination.
Main Duties Of The Role
- Using multiple data sources, you’ll identify the maintenance tasks, outside or scheduled maintenance programme, required to keep the fleet flying without interrupting the scheduled operations.
- These requirements will be communicated to the line and base engineering teams using Engineering Technical Requirements, work instructions, in a timely manner to address repetitive, latent, and active aircraft defects.
- This role ensures continued focus on Technical Dispatch Reliability from an Operational and reliability perspective to meet the company’s targets.
- You should be able to demonstrate the effectiveness of this role by developing, maintaining, and presenting operational and performance reports.
- In addition to the predictive analytical element of this role, you’ll act as a technical expert on the fleet, being able to support the Maintrol Team with ad-hoc shift cover and guidance on troubleshooting complex issues and repetitive defects.
- You’ll collaborate with the Safety Service and Air Ops teams on the review of Flight Data conditional events, interpreting the flight data recorders, for required Engineering follow-up requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
