Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

During the programme, you will build a core understanding of our strategy and operations across different domains and markets and try different roles for accelerated growth. You could work as a Business Information Security consultant, facilitating cross-market security initiatives end to end. You could be investigating new technology concepts and articulating their relevance and impact to senior stakeholders. The roles will be varied, some strategic, others more operational, giving you a flavour of different career paths. You may also have the option in your second year for an international rotation within our Operating Companies and Ventures. As AI becomes increasingly embedded across technology and security, you may also gain exposure to AI-enabled security tooling, automation and emerging risks associated with AI systems, including how software and data can be used to strengthen security operations and engineering.

Learning and Development

At Liberty Global we are committed to developing talented people to move onwards and upwards through our organization during their programme and beyond.

You will receive an L&D Curriculum that looks at personal development as well as technical expertise running through your program.

You’ll also benefit from on-the-job experience working on impactful projects.

“After attending the assessment centre during my application, it was clear that whilst Liberty Global is a large organisation, the culture was more welcoming and more aligned to me than the Big 4, for example. Additionally, from a cybersecurity perspective working for an organisation that provides broadband, video and mobile communications is an excellent learning opportunity.”
