Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

To help you get the best out of your time with us, we’ll make sure you’re heading down the right path from the start. Your first few weeks will be spent with a range of experts providing insight into the Tech and Cybersecurity function of the business, and assessing and developing your functional technology skills. We’ll give you all the tools needed to make the placement year a success. By the end, you’ll have gained extra confidence, skills and knowledge, which will help you finish your final year at university effectively. Depending on the placement, you may develop hands-on capability in areas such as Python, software development, data analysis, AI/ML concepts, generative AI and rapid prototyping, applying these skills to real business and technology challenges.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

We’re looking for students that are highly motivated, hard-working, and eager to explore new opportunities. In essence, we’re looking for applicants who have a growth mind set and genuine interest in working within the emerging technology space. We are particularly interested in students whose studies include AI/ML content (for example, an AI minor, pathway or relevant modules), or who can demonstrate practical experience through academic, or personal projects. Experience with Python or another programming language, software development/engineering principles, data analysis, machine learning or generative AI is desirable but by no means a prerequisite. We value candidates who are comfortable experimenting, building prototypes and learning new AI tools and techniques.
