The Impact You Could Make

You'll take a national leadership position shaping and expanding our technical & engineering capability. You’ll guide the delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure programmes, influence strategic decisions for high-profile UK water clients, and play a pivotal role in embedding best practice across the business. We are building talent pipelines for a range of exciting opportunities across our UK Water businesses. Opportunities span Senior, Principal, and Lead-level positions across disciplines including:

  • Flood Risk Modellers
  • Wastewater Modeller

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

We're seeking an experienced water and environmental professional who combines technical expertise with strategic leadership. You'll bring proven experience delivering flood risk, drainage, and water management solutions across complex infrastructure projects, alongside a strong understanding of UK environmental regulations and the regulated water sector.

You will have:

  • A degree in Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • Chartered status (or equivalent) with a recognized professional institution such as CIWEM, ICE, or similar.
  • Extensive experience in flood risk, drainage, hydraulic modelling, and sustainable water infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation, planning, permitting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in asset planning, catchment management, resilience strategies, and sustainable water solutions.
  • Experience using industry-standard modelling, GIS, and environmental assessment tools.
  • A successful track record within the UK water sector, supporting environmental, water resources, and resilience programmes.
  • The confidence to build trusted relationships with clients, regulators, and key stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness, including business development, bid support, and growing client partnerships.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a passion for developing teams, mentoring talent, and fostering high-performing cultures.
