Here at IDS (a Revvity company) we are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office weekly and 2 working from home.
IDS are the leading in-vitro diagnostic solution provider to the clinical and research laboratory markets. With over 30 years of expertise, we develop (in-house), manufacture and market innovative and high-quality immunoassays and instruments.

To lead the financial reporting and control activities of the UK business operations, ensuring accurate financial accounting and management, regulatory compliance, and support for commercial decision-making.
Principal Accountabilities
Month-end:
- Produce month-end accounts for 2 entities (IDS Limited and IDS Holdings) within a 2-day reporting deadline
- Calculate and post journals including fixed assets, royalties, and VAT
- Review journals such as accruals, prepayments, payroll, bad debt
- Complete and/or review balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and review management accounts
Manufacturing:
- Execute standard cost updates for BOM, labour and overhead rates
- Analyze manufacturing variances (PPV, scrap/waste, absorption)
- Oversee UK stock - stock control and stock provisioning
VAT:
- Manage UK group VAT registration (2 entities)
- Manage German VAT registration (IDS Ltd)
- Perform monthly VAT calculations, journals, and reconciliations
- Submit VAT returns

Tax:
- Perform quarterly tax dashboards for the UK entities (Group reporting requirement)
- Work closely with Deloitte on annual tax computations
Others:
- Approve bank payments
- Track capex spend
- Manage the external audits (Azets)
- Support FP&A with annual budget process
- Understand royalty agreements and perform and/or review calculations
- Offer Finance support to the UK site as required
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant ACCA / CIMA or equivalent
Skills & Knowledge:
- Understanding of stock/manufacturing costing methods
- Logical analysis and good problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Satisfactory Excel skills
- Strong mathematical ability
- Ability to maintain controls
Experience:
- Strong manufacturing industry experience in production/stock accounting; ERP variance analysis experience advantageous.
