Your new company.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast-growing, innovative global engineering business based in Sunbury as their UK Financial Controller. This privately owned organisation has recently secured significant investment from the City and is entering an ambitious new phase of growth, creating an exceptional platform for an accomplished finance leader to make a real impact.

Reporting directly to an inspirational and commercially minded CFO, this is a rare opportunity to join a business that seldom recruits and where your contribution will be highly visible. Operating from modern corporate offices, the company offers a collaborative and forward-thinking culture alongside a flexible hybrid working model of three days in the office and two from home.

Your new role.

As UK Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role within the finance leadership team, taking ownership of the financial management and reporting of a multi-entity, international business experiencing strong growth.

Leading and developing a talented finance team, you will oversee monthly management reporting, statutory accounts, job costing and the annual audit process. The CFO is seeking a proactive and ambitious finance professional who can challenge the status quo, drive continuous improvement and champion the use of technology to enhance financial processes, controls and reporting capabilities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
