I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This is a true generalist role. You'll operate as an extension of the CEO across GTM, operations, and product, owning whatever ambiguous, high-stakes work is in front of you. As our first non-sales hire on the ground in the UK, you'll have outsized ownership, directly influencing how we scale internationally, starting with where we go next after London.
You Will
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to inform UK strategy, set priorities, and drive key decisions about how we show up in this market
- Own our London launch strategy, including launch events, out-of-home campaigns, and paid ads investment
- Identify and resolve privacy and compliance changes needed to operate in the UK
- Unblock the sales team and fix root causes in partnership with the US team
- Be the primary point of contact for legal, finance, and other US-based functions on everything happening in the UK
- Evaluate and recommend the next market for European expansion, and build the plan to get there
- Advocate for the product features the UK and EMEA need to win
- Stand up whatever functions, workflows, and systems London needs as the office grows

You Have
- 5+ years in a generalist, BizOps, or founder's-office role at a fast-growing company (experience launching a new market or office a strong plus)
- A track record of taking ambiguous, cross-functional problems from zero to done
- Comfort moving between big, visible bets (like a flagship launch campaign) and unglamorous operational fixes
- Experience working cross-functionally with a US-based team across time zones
- A structured approach to evaluating new markets and building plans from scratch
- Founder energy: you're comfortable being the first person on the ground and building the playbook as you go
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to push a US-based team on what this market needs
