National Private Equity Backed Multibillion Pound Accounting Group
We are hiring a UK Lead Partner M&A role for a hugely successful National Accounting Group that is taking the market by storm, with successful hubs across the UK including London, Midlands, NW England, Scotland with many more hubs planned by growth and acquisition.
They are looking for a leader to be actively involved in transacting on current acquisition proposals of Accounting Firms, Corporate Finance Boutiques, Insolvency Specialists, Tax, and other Management Consultancies across the UK that have 5-7 Partners and £5-£20 million turnover range that have valuations of up to £30 million.
As my clients have significant backing to leverage this already growing and successful group, they would also look for you to have a significant network of similar UK and perhaps some international consulting firms of the same size and nature as outlined above. You will also need to have a track record in leading and managing teams on successful deals in this area from start to finish, as well as advise on successfully scaling up these businesses post-acquisition.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
