Our client is a French family-owned industrial group and one of the top 5 European leaders in the manufacturing of polyethylene films for the agricultural, industrial and packaging (bag-making) sectors.
With more than 60 years of experience, over 800 employees and several production sites in France, the group is built on 100% French manufacturing, a strong innovation policy (eco-design, bio-based materials, recycling of used films) and a corporate culture centred on service quality and customer proximity.
As part of its international development, our client is recruiting a UK & Ireland Sales Manager.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Export Sales Director, you will be responsible for the commercial development and management of the UK & Ireland cluster.
As a true ambassador of the brand across your territory, you will drive the group's commercial strategy with existing customers and prospects across these markets, in line with the company's sales policy and international growth objectives.

Responsibilities
- Define and implement the commercial action plan for the UK & Ireland cluster, in line with the group's international strategy
- Manage, retain and grow a portfolio of existing customers (distributors, industrial converters, agricultural cooperatives, retail/packaging companies) across the territory
- Prospect and develop new customers and new markets across the UK and Ireland
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing and contracts in line with group policy
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and regulatory developments (packaging, recycling, agricultural film regulations), including post-Brexit specificities
- Work closely with marketing, R&D, customer service and supply chain teams to ensure product fit and service quality
- Represent the company at trade fairs and industry events in the UK and Ireland
- Provide regular reporting on sales activity, forecasts and pipeline via the CRM
- Contribute to setting the budget and sales targets for the cluster

Qualifications
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in business, sales, or a technical/engineering field
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in B2B business development, ideally in packaging, plastics, or industrial/agricultural materials
- Proven experience managing an international sales territory or cluster
- Fluent English is essential; French is an advantage for interaction with the head office
- Autonomous, results-driven, with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Good understanding of customs and regulatory specifics related to Brexit for trade with the UK
- Willingness to travel frequently across the UK and Ireland, plus occasional travel to France
- Based in the UK preferred
