Job Title: UK Junior Accountant
Reporting to: UK Finance Manager
Location: ME+EM, Head office, White City London.
Contract Type: Full Time, 37.5 Hours Per Week

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented UK Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in a rapidly evolving industry while supporting key financial processes during month end as well as an ERP system migration.
Reporting to the Finance Manager/UK Accountant, this person will assist in day-to-day finance tasks, primarily with an AR focus.
Tasks include but not limited to cash and sales reconciliations, accounts receivable, month-end reporting, and balance sheet integrity. The candidate will provide support to the overall team and will be able to work on their own initiative, be proficient in excel and have excellent communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end reconciliation of sales across online, stores, concessions and concierge channels, ensuring all sales data is captured accurately and reconciled to consideration received.
- Ensure returns and exchanges are correctly recorded and reflected in the accounts.
- Prepare month-end journals, including revenue recognition entries, merchant fees and stock movements.
- Maintain sales records and investigate and report discrepancies to the Finance Manager.
- Review store cash reconciliations, ensuring books and records are accurately maintained and agree to physical closing balances.
- Investigate and resolve customer chargebacks, liaising with payment providers and the E-commerce team to ensure accurate and timely accounting treatment.
- Manage petty cash, including reconciliation and posting of entries.
- Support month-end and year-end close by posting relevant entries accurately and on time.
- Support the Finance Manager with annual audit preparation, organising financial data and collating supporting documentation and reports.
- Support the finance team with the migration of financial data to the new ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics).
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks as required by the Finance Manager, including responding to internal and external queries on finance transactions.
Skills and experience required:
- Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA (or actively studying towards qualification).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management accounting or finance role.
- Good understanding of month-end accounting processes, including prepayments, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP functions.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage high transaction volumes accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to use initiative, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Desirable:
- Experience within a retail, fashion, or ecommerce environment.
- Experience working in a multi-entity and/or multi-currency business.
- Familiarity with ecommerce platforms and online payment providers.
- Experience using an ERP system; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience would be advantageous
