The Position
UK LICENSE TO OPERATE
We aspire to be a leading edge License to Operate (LTO) organisation that drives compliance, quality, and innovative patient-centric solutions, utilising cross-functional expertise across Roche UK to support delivering on our mission and business operations. The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has recently graduated with a science background. The role is a rotational programme with the opportunity to work across five sections within the Roche UK License to Operate (LTO) department: Quality, Patient Safety, Regulatory, Medical Clinical Operations, and Medical Information. The programme will run for 2 years, allowing you to spend time in multiple sections to drive cross-functional improvement. Expected start date of the programme is January 2027.
Background of each LTO Section
- Quality: Responsible for the administration and operational management of key GxP Quality Management System (QMS) processes and supporting the Local Quality Responsible (LQR) and Qualified Persons (QP) to fulfill company and legal obligations.
- Regulatory: Translates the constantly evolving requirements of the UK Regulatory environment into Roche policies, procedures, solutions, and strategies that ensure compliance and maximize value for patients.
- Patient Safety: Ensures safety information is collected and recorded accurately to a high standard, actively partnering with the business across activities such as Non-Interventional Studies (NIS), digital activities, market research, and patient support programmes.
- Medical Clinical Operations (MCO): Provides clinical operations expertise in managing funded interventional and non-interventional studies, managed non-interventional studies, and pre-approval access programs, working across the business and externally with trial sites.
- Medical Information: Contributes to the safe and effective use of Roche medicines by responding to scientific, technical, and medical enquiries from healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, and members of the public.

Who you are:
Applicants should have a recent science degree of 2:1 or above and a strong desire to engage and drive cross-functional improvement.
To be successful in this opportunity, applicants should also have:
- Excellent computer & digital skills
- Ability to work reliably and flexibly
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team, developing effective working relationships with a wide range of colleagues

Phase III: Final Assessment Center at Roche UK head office (Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire). Expected date towards the end of November 2026
This final stage will include a face to face interview, and relevant activities critical for the role, giving you a taste of Roche and the placement opportunity.
Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Candidates must already hold valid authorisation to work in the UK.
