What We're Looking For
This position is an FCA-designated MLRO for our entity based in the UK. The person in this role will be responsible for AML/CTF program implementation, SAR filings, transaction monitoring oversight, and regulatory interface on financial crime matters.

Responsibilities
- Serve as FCA-approved MLRO under SM&CR (SMF17 function)
- Own UK AML/CTF compliance program (policies, procedures, controls)
- File Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to NCA
- Oversee transaction monitoring and sanctions screening operations
- Coordinate with IDT Finance on cross-border AML matters
- Manage customer risk assessments (KYB/KYCC for fintech clients)
- Conduct AML training for UK staff
- Interface with FCA on AML supervisory matters
- Manage UK SAR regime and consent processes
- Internal investigations for potential money laundering/terrorist financing
- Annual AML risk assessment and board reporting
- Maintain relationship with Joint Money Laundering Taskforce (JMLIT)
Qualifications
- 8+ years of UK AML/financial crime experience
- FCA MLRO approval or prior SM&CR approved person status
- CAMS or ICA MLRO Diploma required
- Deep understanding of UK Money Laundering Regulations 2017 (amended)
- SAR filing expertise (NCA SARs Online system)
- Experience with UK sanctions regime (OFSI)
- Payments/fintech/banking background
- Prior MLRO or Deputy MLRO role
- Understanding of BIN sponsorship AML requirements
- Experience with FCA skilled person reviews (S166)

Salary Range
£90,000.00 - £125,000.00
