About the role:

As a UK Nuclear Fuel Commercial Manager you will be managing customer relationships and supporting the identification and development of new growth opportunities across the UK within the existing operating fleet, and future new build opportunities including large scale, SMR, and Advanced Reactors. The NFSM will support the creation and maintenance of customer relationships with UK and global customers, which includes business development, identification of new sales opportunities, developing bid proposals, and negotiating contracts.

You will report to the Nuclear Fuels UK Senior Commercial Mgr and be located at Springfield.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the business development activities for assigned customers – developing new contacts and relationships, understanding customer problems and needs, identifying potential solutions working with the internal teams, presenting value propositions to customers, leading sales meetings, bids, and contract negotiations. The role will involve setting challenging but achievable targets for the teams to achieve to support the development activities.
  • Lead negotiations with the client until final contract signature, ensuring proper teamwork and alignment with all relevant Westinghouse teams including Global Markets, Solutions Management, Product Management, Operations, Legal, Finance, and supporting organizations.
  • Supporting the oversight of customer order fulfillment, ensuring associated tasks are accomplished consistent with contract requirements. Takes personal responsibility for meeting customer commitments.
  • Working in collaborative teams across the business, to support the development of the UK growth strategy and customer account plans. Will develop a good understanding of potential market/industry developments.
  • Developing strong customer relationships with assigned customers.
  • Supporting the resolution of customer problems and commercial disputes.
  • Determining the appropriate contract strategies for a range of complex contracts.
  • Supporting the process for establishing the pricing and operating profit targets in commercial offers and supporting the internal governance process in collaboration with the wider team.
  • Supporting commercial and financial activities (including marketing initiatives, pricing, contract terms, expenditures, orders entered, sales and margin, commercial settlements, and bid/no bid decisions) for assigned customers.
  • Responsible for the management of opportunities and data within the customer relationship management tool for associated opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 – 12 years experience of which 5 years within a commercial role.
  • Understand nuclear fuel products and the associated supply chains is desirable but not essential.
  • Have an approach to building presentations and delivering to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good literacy skills required.
  • Evidence of quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Enthusiastic approach to work and a positive team player.
  • Committed to continuous improvement.
  • Adheres to all legislative, regulatory, and company procedures and standards e.g. safety, quality, risk, and security, etc. appropriate to the role.
