The Role
We're looking for a Search Account Manager to lead the strategy, performance, and client relationships across a portfolio of paid search accounts. You'll combine strong platform expertise with strategic thinking to deliver measurable growth for clients while helping to develop and support junior team members.
You'll work across a diverse range of clients, managing campaigns end-to-end, driving performance through testing and optimisation, and identifying opportunities to help clients achieve their business objectives.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of accounts, building strong client relationships, and staying at the forefront of paid search innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders
- Lead regular client calls and performance reviews
- Present insights, recommendations, and strategic plans clearly and confidently
- Provide proactive communication around campaign performance and opportunities
- Develop a strong understanding of client objectives, industry trends, and competitive landscapes
- Respond to client queries and provide solutions-focused recommendations
Paid Search Strategy & Campaign Management
- Manage the setup, optimisation, and ongoing performance of paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads
- Ensure campaigns are delivered to a high standard through robust QA and best-practice processes
- Develop and execute testing roadmaps to improve performance and efficiency
- Analyse campaign data and turn insights into actionable recommendations
- Manage budgets and forecasts in line with client objectives
- Support strategic projects and initiatives across accounts
- Stay up to date with platform updates, automation, AI developments, and industry trends
- Identify and implement new opportunities across bidding, audience targeting, feed optimisation, and campaign structure
- Contribute to the development of internal processes and paid search best practices

Driving Growth
- Identify opportunities to grow client investment and expand service offerings
- Support cross-channel collaboration across wider digital teams
- Contribute to new business opportunities through audits, research, and strategic recommendations
- Help uncover innovative approaches to improve client performance and drive revenue growth
Team Collaboration
- Support and mentor junior team members through day-to-day guidance and knowledge sharing
- Review work and provide constructive feedback where required
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across the wider search and digital teams
- Share learnings, insights, and best practices to support team development
What We're Looking For
- Experience managing paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads
- Strong understanding of optimisation, bidding strategies, audience targeting, and performance analysis
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- A data-driven mindset with a passion for testing and continuous improvement
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Interest in AI, automation, and the evolving paid media landscape
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members is advantageous
