UK Product Manager - Road Fuels

Location: Stanlow Manufacturing Complex, Ellesmere Port
Employment Type: Site Based Full Time Role
5 days per week, Monday-Friday

About the Company

EET (Essar Energy Transition) vision is to be the leading producer of low carbon fuels and establish a blueprint energy transition hub in the North West. EET plays a major role in supplying the Northwest and the wider UK with essential fuels. We produce over 16% of the UK’s road transport fuels, supply key feedstocks to the petrochemical industry, and are investing heavily in low-carbon energy solutions.

We work with major retail fuel brands, supermarkets, Manchester Airport, leading airlines, and regional transport operators. We are also a key partner in the HyNet project, helping to deliver the region’s low-carbon future.

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the commercial performance, growth, and profitability of our Road Fuels portfolio. Working closely with internal stakeholders, customers, and supply partners, you will develop and execute product and channel strategies that maximize value, strengthen customer relationships, and support the delivery of our commercial objectives. This is a highly collaborative role where you will combine market insight, commercial acumen, and strategic thinking to identify opportunities, enhance customer offerings, and ensure long-term business success.

You will:

  • Develop and deliver the Road Fuels product strategy, ensuring alignment with commercial and business objectives.
  • Manage the performance of the Road Fuels portfolio, delivering growth in volume, margin, and market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers and key stakeholders across the fuels sector.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, delivering innovative solutions that meet customer and market needs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Lead commercial discussions and customer reviews, ensuring long-term value creation and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with Supply, Logistics, and Operations teams to optimize product availability and service performance.
  • Develop robust business cases to support strategic investment and growth opportunities.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting activities across the product portfolio.
  • Contribute to the delivery of wider business transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Significant commercial experience within fuels, energy, commodities, or a related sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK road fuels market and associated supply chains.
  • A proven track record of delivering profitable growth and managing strategic customer relationships.
  • Experience developing and implementing successful product, sales, or commercial strategies.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to evaluate risks and opportunities effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use market intelligence and data to support decision-making.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering results in a dynamic commercial environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • A degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
