UK Public Affairs Manager – 12-month FTC
Luton | Full-time | Hybrid | 12-month Fixed-Term Contract
20% bonus • 7% pension • Staff travel benefits

The opportunity
This 12-month FTC sits within Corporate Communications and reports to the Senior Public Affairs Manager. You’ll help shape and deliver easyJet’s UK public affairs programme, building relationships with political and policy stakeholders while supporting issues that matter to customers, including growth, regional connectivity, affordability, consumer outcomes and the transition to more sustainable flying.
Working across a fast-moving business, you’ll help translate complex topics into clear and practical communications, while identifying opportunities to strengthen easyJet’s reputation with decision-makers at national, regional and local levels, including in the communities and airports we serve, at a time when regional growth, devolution and transport connectivity are high on the political agenda.

The team & culture
As part of the corporate communications function, you’ll join a small, agile and supportive public affairs team with genuine ownership from day one. You’ll work across will be entrusted with advising e, operations, customer teams, industry bodies and airport partners and be entrusted with advising stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
What you’ll be doing
- Support relationships with government, Parliament, devolved administrations, metro mayors, local authorities, helping ensure easyJet is seen as a constructive and trusted partner.
- Lead on always-on engagement with local and regional political stakeholders, particularly MPs and local leaders in the communities around our UK bases.
- Organise and deliver stakeholder engagement activity, from meetings and airport visits to roundtables, events and conference programmes.
- Monitor political developments, manage stakeholder casework and help prepare briefings, speaking notes, consultation submissions and parliamentary materials for a range of audiences.
- Support public affairs input into business priorities and play a role in issues management and crisis response when required.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in public affairs, government relations, politics, policy, communications or stakeholder engagement, gained in Parliament, government, an agency or a corporate environment.
- An excellent communicator who can make complex information clear, concise and accessible.
- Build relationships confidently, exercise sound judgement and stay organised when priorities change quickly.
- An interest in aviation, transport, consumer policy or another regulated sector would be valuable, but most importantly you’ll be proactive, collaborative and keen to take ownership in a high-profile, fast-moving business.
