About the Role

Due to continued growth, we're expanding our Quality Inspection team and are looking for Quality Inspector Assistants to help ensure our products meet the highest standards before being shipped across the globe.

We're looking for people with a keen eye for detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You'll be trained to read technical drawings and inspect components to exact specifications.

No previous inspection experience? No problem. For Quality Assistant roles, full training is provided, with dedicated support from our experienced trainers and Senior Inspectors to help you succeed from day one.

Shift Pattern:

  • Double Days – a two-week rotation consisting of one week of early shifts followed by one week of late shifts
  • Earlies - 5.30am - 14:00 Monday to Thursday, 5.30am - 11am on Friday
  • Lates - 13:45pm - 22.15pm Monday to Thursday, 10:45am - 16:15pm on Friday

Starting from £24,900.00 - £25,300.00 + 20% shift allowance - total salary: £29,880.00 - £30,360.00 + bonus!

We also offer a quarterly bonus!

Responsibilities:

As a Quality Inspector Assistant, you will:

  • Check materials and products meet quality standards.
  • Carry out inspections at different stages of the manufacturing process.
  • Identify and report any quality issues.
  • Keep accurate quality records and update company systems.
  • Use inspection tools and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Ensure equipment is checked and available for calibration when required.
  • Review production documentation and support product release.
  • Work with colleagues across different teams to resolve issues.
  • Follow company quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.

Requirements:

The ideal Quality Inspector Assistant will have/be:

  • An excellent level of attention to detail.
  • A minimal education background of GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Previous work experience in either a manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or highly regulated environment would be desirable, but not essential.
  • An eagerness and willingness to learn new tasks that involve general inspection, measurement, and associated activities (e.g., reading engineering drawings).
  • A detail-orientated approach and the ability to make informed decisions based on the quality of the product.
  • To be reliable and committed to developing a career at Corin.
