Senior SEO Manager
We have a vacancy for a SEO Lead at a conversion-focused agency that's been doing this since 2011. You'll own the department, the client relationships and the direction, with the directors behind you rather than on top of you.
The honest version
We’re great at incubating talent that then gets head-hunted so our current SEO lead is moving onwards and upwards! - The department is established with double digit account numbers, an existing SEO Manager and freelance support, but it needs rebuilding and re-invigorating, not maintaining. If you've been the strongest SEO manager in the room and nobody has handed you the department yet, this is that.
What You'll Do
- Own SEO strategy and delivery across the accounts: hands-on on around six of them, oversight and quality control on the rest.
- Be the SEO voice on client calls, up to director level. Set the plan, explain it plainly, deliver it.
- Own AEO/GEO for the agency: how our clients show up in AI answers. It's a growing line of work for us and it's yours to build.
- Run the department: processes, QA, priorities, workload for the SEO executive and freelancers.
- Build and improve AI-assisted workflows. We run AI across the business alongside Semrush, GA4, GTM and Windsor.ai. We want someone who uses these tools daily and knows where they help and where they don't.
- Audit and pitch with the directors on prospective clients.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You
- Agency SEO experience, essential. Multiple clients at once, agency pace, agency clients. Client-side only won't work here and we'd rather say so now.
- Four or more years in SEO with results you can talk through in numbers: rankings, traffic, revenue, leads.
- Technical SEO beyond the basics. Content strategy tied to commercial outcomes, not word counts.
- Working knowledge of AEO/GEO. You understand the differences, you've tested things and have opinions.
- Clear on calls and clear in writing. Clients trust you within a meeting or two.
- Ready to lead. You've delegated, reviewed other people's work and pushed back on clients. You may not have run a department yet; that's fine.
- GA4 and Search Console, obviously.
Useful but not essential: digital PR and link acquisition, GTM and tracking, Shopify/Magento/WooCommerce, PPC or CRO exposure.
