UK Sales Director - CGI, Retouching & Visual Content Services

Business Overview
Our client is a well-established global media services business specialising in visual content production, CGI, image retouching, digital restoration and content transformation services. Founded over 20 years ago, the business originally began as a scanning and digitisation provider and has since evolved into a scaled creative production partner for major global brands. Today, the company supports clients across multiple sectors, with CGI and high-volume image retouching as core service areas. The business has a strong operational footprint, with large production teams and creative specialists supporting global clients across visual content, eCommerce imagery and brand storytelling. With over 700 employees and continued growth plans, the company is entering a more commercially focused phase and is looking to strengthen its sales leadership in the UK market.
Role Purpose
The UK Sales Director will be responsible for driving revenue growth across the UK market by acquiring new clients and expanding existing relationships across CGI, eCommerce, digital retouching and visual content services. This is a senior individual contributor role suited to someone with a strong network across brands, agencies, retailers, eCommerce businesses or visual production teams. The successful candidate will be expected to bring market relationships, open new conversations and convert opportunities into long-term commercial partnerships. The role requires a consultative sales approach, strong knowledge of visual content production, and the ability to position CGI and retouching services as scalable solutions for brands with high-volume creative and eCommerce needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a UK sales strategy aligned to revenue growth, market opportunity and company objectives.
- Identify, engage and secure new clients across CGI, image retouching, eCommerce content production and related visual content services.
- Leverage an existing client network to create early commercial opportunities within the first 90-100 days.
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders across brands, agencies, retailers, eCommerce teams and production decision-makers.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through to proposal, negotiation, close and account growth.
- Tailor sales conversations and proposals to address the specific content, production, scale and quality requirements of each client.
- Expand existing accounts by identifying additional service opportunities across CGI, retouching, image production and digital content workflows.
- Maintain strong long-term client relationships to support repeat business, referrals and account expansion.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, client demand and competitive positioning across CGI, digital retouching and eCommerce production.
- Work closely with creative, production and technical teams to ensure client requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
- Act as a key link between clients and internal delivery teams, ensuring expectations are clearly communicated and met.
- Provide senior leadership with regular updates on pipeline, sales performance, market feedback and revenue progress.
- Attend industry events, conferences and networking opportunities to build market presence and identify new business opportunities.

Key Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years' experience in a senior sales, business development or commercial role.
- Strong track record of selling into brands, retailers, agencies, eCommerce teams or visual production stakeholders.
- Experience in CGI, digital retouching, creative production, eCommerce imagery, media services or visual content services is highly desirable.
- Existing network across relevant client groups, with the ability to convert relationships into commercial opportunities.
- Strong hunter mentality with experience acquiring new clients and building pipeline from scratch.
- Ability to manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to close and account growth.
- Strong understanding of how brands manage visual content, product imagery, digital assets and eCommerce production workflows.
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to build long-term client partnerships.
- Comfortable working closely with creative, production and technical delivery teams.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to shape proposals around client needs, budgets and business outcomes.
- Experience presenting to senior stakeholders and communicating complex service offerings clearly.
- Ability to provide accurate reporting, pipeline visibility and market insight to senior leadership.
Location & Working Pattern
This is a UK-based role with flexibility around working pattern. The successful candidate will be expected to spend time meeting clients, attending industry events and working closely with internal teams where required. The role is suited to someone with strong access to the UK market, particularly London-based brands, agencies, retailers and eCommerce businesses.
