Position Overview
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven UK Sales Director to pioneer the commercial strategy, expansion, and market share of our premium luxury fragrance brand within the UK and Ireland. As a key member of our leadership team, you will hold full accountability for driving retail and wholesale sales, strengthening brand positioning, and managing high-level relationships with premium department stores, luxury boutiques. You will bridge commercial acumen with creative brand governance, leading our account management, education, and Brand Ambassador sales teams in Department Stores to create retail experiences that embody the prestige of our brand.
Commercial Strategy & Business Development
- Own the UK P&L: Architect and execute comprehensive annual sales strategies to achieve top-line wholesale and retail revenue targets while strictly managing commercial profitability and budgets.
- National Accounts Governance: Deepen joint business planning and maximize brand footprint within high-end UK department store networks (e.g., Harrods, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, John Lewis, Fenwicks etc) and selected premium independent retailers.
- Market Expansion: Identify, negotiate, and execute exclusive product launches, key account promotions, and white-space distribution opportunities to capture market share.
- Flagship Stores: Identify locations for flagship stores in the UK and help build the business model to operate Flagship own stores in key locations.

Relationship Management & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Key Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary UK high-level point of contact for retail buyers, global brand teams, and senior industry partners.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work in tight alignment with the Heads of Marketing, Visual Merchandising (VM), Operations, and PR to deploy cohesive 360-degree brand launch campaigns and high-ROI sampling programs.
- Demand Forecasting: Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain and Sales Operations teams to ensure demand planning and inventory allocation seamlessly mirror promotional calendars and high-velocity launches.
Leadership & Retail Excellence
- Team Empowerment: Inspire, mentor, and structurally scale the Department Store sales managers and brand ambassador teams, National Education, and Field Sales/Boutique teams.
- Brand Guardianship: Enforce absolute visual excellence and luxury etiquette guidelines across all brick-and-mortar touchpoints.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct frequent store visits and competitor evaluations to translate changing consumer behaviors and emerging niche trends into actionable commercial insights.
Experience & Technical Skills
- Proven Track Record: At least 5–7+ years of senior commercial or wholesale leadership experience within luxury beauty, niche fragrance, or premium fashion.
- Trade Network: Expert-level knowledge of the high-end UK department store landscape, including a personal network of established beauty/fragrance buyer relationships that is demonstrable and up to date.
- Financial & Analytical Rigour: Strong commercial acumen with an obsessive focus on Return on Investment (ROI) analytics, margin protection, complex pricing structures, and stock KPIs.
- Languages: Fluent professional English is required.
