QLM Search is partnering with a leading UK food manufacturer supplying an extensive portfolio of branded and private label products to the UK's major grocery retailers.

This is a high-impact executive appointment for a commercially driven leader who can shape strategy, strengthen customer partnerships, and lead a significant phase of business transformation.

With full accountability for the UK commercial function, you'll play a key role in accelerating profitable growth, embedding commercial excellence, and helping drive the next chapter of the business.

Reporting directly to the UK Managing Director, you will:

  • Lead the UK commercial strategy across branded and private label categories
  • Drive the commercial transformation agenda, building capability, improving performance, and embedding best-in-class commercial disciplines
  • Build and strengthen strategic relationships with senior stakeholders across the UK's leading grocery retailers
  • Deliver sustainable, profitable growth through effective pricing, margin management, and commercial execution
  • Lead joint business planning, category development, promotional strategy, and customer growth initiatives
  • Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and Innovation to align commercial priorities with business objectives
  • Develop, coach, and inspire a high-performing commercial team through change and transformation

We're looking for an accomplished commercial leader with:

  • A proven track record in senior commercial leadership within UK food manufacturing
  • Significant experience leading commercial transformation, organisational change, or business turnaround programmes
  • Strong branded and private label grocery experience with deep knowledge of UK retail customers and buying dynamics
  • Expertise in pricing strategy, margin optimisation, and complex commercial negotiations
  • A strong background in joint business planning and delivering strategic customer growth
  • The ability to influence and lead across complex, cross-functional organisations
  • A collaborative, data-driven leadership style with the resilience and credibility to deliver lasting change
