Role Summary

After several years of activity and growing recognition in the global rented residential and PBSA market, our client is strengthening its local presence by appointing a senior in-country representative. The purpose of the role is to bring them closer to clients, partners, and key market stakeholders, ensuring stronger local relationships, better market access, and deeper understanding of market developments.

The Country Representative acts as the organisation's senior local representative in the United Kingdom, strengthening the company's presence, relationships, and commercial position within the rented residential, Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), Build to Rent (BTR), and wider commercial real estate ecosystem. The role is focused on senior relationship management, strategic introductions, local market intelligence, commercial opportunity development, and representing them in a way that reflects local business culture, market dynamics, and client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the senior local representative, strengthening the company's visibility, credibility, and market presence locally.
  • Build and maintain trusted senior-level relationships across the local real estate ecosystem, including investors, developers, operators, landlords, lenders, brokers, advisors, universities, public bodies, and other strategic stakeholders.
  • Generate new commercial opportunities by leveraging an established local network, identifying key decision-makers, and facilitating strategic introductions.
  • Develop existing client and partner relationships, identifying opportunities for retention, account growth, upselling, cross-selling, and long-term cooperation.
  • Represent at industry conferences, networking events, client meetings, presentations, and other market-facing forums, with regular in-person engagement expected across London and relevant UK regions.
  • Provide local market intelligence on investment activity, development pipelines, transactions, competitor movements, pricing expectations, market sentiment, emerging opportunities, and off-market / soft intelligence.
  • Stay closely connected with their headquarters, delivery teams, and data intelligence colleagues to remain up to date on the company's platform, research outputs, advisory services, market insights, and product developments, ensuring the ability to represent the company credibly and stay ahead of market developments.
  • Contribute to the local go-to-market strategy, ensuring their commercial approach reflects local market dynamics, decision-making processes, pricing expectations, and business culture.
  • Identify strategic partnerships and collaboration opportunities that strengthen the organisation's positioning within the PBSA, BTR, and wider rented residential sectors.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
