UK SMB Field Sales Team Manager

Elavon is expanding its direct SMB sales presence across the UK and we’re looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to recruit & lead a brand new Sales team. This is a rare opportunity to head up a newly formed, high-performing team targeting SMB /mid-market businesses. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping strategy, driving growth, and building lasting client relationships in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

What is the purpose of this role?
Supports the sales team to:
- Win profitable new clients through sales of payment services into the SMB and Mid-market segment both directly and through partners.
- Identify business opportunities based on expert knowledge of prospecting, merchants, markets, products and services.
- Engage with prospects throughout the buying cycle, particularly in discover phase and supports creation/delivery of compelling proposals, negotiating / managing large and complex sales (including co-ordination of technical teams).
- Maintain relationship with clients post sale and for a period of up to 12 months to continue to deliver VAS and maintain excellent levels of customer service.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships within referral and introducer partnerships (plus trade associations and other networks) to maintain an effective network to help promote sales.

- Set clear, measurable sales targets and support the team to consistently achieve and exceed performance goals through effective coaching (including face to face), creating accountability, and performance tracking vs our minimum standards and KPIs.

- Ensure the team remains focused on high impact activities i.e. pipeline building and spending time with clients and partners face to face.
