The Role
We're looking for a Social Director to specialise within a particular Social channel, working alongside Client Directors across their client portfolio. You'll be responsible for ensuring your client portfolio understands and embodies Social best practices and can clearly see the measurable value of Social activity.
You'll champion Social internally and externally, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of platform changes and industry best practice, while working closely with the Head of Social to ensure alignment with the overall Social strategy and contribute to the ongoing development of the wider Social team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys operating as a genuine channel expert, shaping Social strategy across a client portfolio, and building a profile as a thought leader in the space.
Key Responsibilities
Social Expertise
- Act as a subject matter expert and advocate for Social within your assigned client portfolio
- Ensure your client portfolio embodies Social best practices and understands the measurable value of Social activity
- Regularly review accounts to ensure activity is maximised, high-quality, and aligned with best practices
- Contribute to the development and refinement of Social best practices in collaboration with the Head of Social
- Stay abreast of industry trends, platform updates, and the competitive landscape
Social Innovation
- Be regarded internally and externally as a Social expert through speaking opportunities, blogs, and thought leadership
- Anticipate and support the business in responding to future industry changes to maintain a competitive edge
- Explore and implement new Social technologies, tools, and strategies
- Develop testing plans as a key pillar of Social strategy delivered to clients

Team Leadership & Development
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Foster a culture of innovation and learning within the team, ensuring learnings are shared and implemented effectively
- Collaborate with other Social experts to ensure global standardisation and best practice sharing
- Lead independently on Social-related troubleshooting projects for your client portfolio
Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across your client portfolio, acting as a Social expert
- Regularly communicate with clients, providing updates on insights, trends, and recommendations for Social
- Showcase the value and opportunities of Social activity to your client portfolio
- Support Client Directors across their client portfolio on Social-related projects, troubleshooting, and opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Proven, deep specialism in a major Social platform, with genuine subject-matter authority rather than generalist paid social experience
- A track record of embedding best practice and driving measurable value across a multi-client portfolio
- Confidence operating as a visible expert externally, through thought leadership, speaking, or content
- Strong testing discipline, with experience building testing roadmaps that feed into broader client strategy
- Experience mentoring team members and contributing to best practice development across a wider function
- Comfort working closely with Client Directors as a specialist partner, not the primary client contact
- Genuine curiosity about platform change and emerging Social technology, tools, and strategy
