A leading international professional services organisation is looking to appoint an experienced UK Tax Advisor to join its specialist Partner Tax team based in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with experience in partnership and personal taxation to join a highly regarded in-house function supporting a large population of partners across the UK and internationally. The team is experiencing significant growth in workload, creating an opportunity for an ambitious individual to take ownership of a varied portfolio and develop their expertise in a complex partnership environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing UK tax affairs for a portfolio of partners, ensuring compliance obligations are met accurately and on time while providing practical tax advice on a range of personal tax matters.

  • Preparing UK personal tax returns for partners and other stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the preparation of partnership tax returns.
  • Managing tax compliance deadlines and payment obligations.
  • Calculating and analysing partner tax liabilities.
  • Advising on areas including capital gains tax, pension contributions and UK residence/non-residence matters.
  • Responding to tax-related queries from senior stakeholders.
  • Liaising with HMRC and external advisers where required.
  • Supporting wider tax projects and process improvement initiatives.

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • CTA qualification (or those at the final stages of qualification).
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience within UK personal and/or partnership tax.
  • Experience preparing partnership tax returns.
  • Exposure to UK residence and non-residence issues.
  • Strong technical tax knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work directly with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.

Backgrounds We Would Consider

  • In-house tax professionals currently working within a law firm or professional partnership environment.
  • Personal tax specialists from accountancy practices who advise partners or high-net-worth individuals.
  • Tax professionals with experience preparing both personal and partnership tax returns for professional services firms.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to join a well-established tax team supporting a large international partnership. You will gain exposure to complex partnership taxation matters, work closely with senior stakeholders and play an important role in a growing function during a period of significant change and increasing technical complexity.

Hybrid working is available, with the team primarily based in London.
