Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

During the programme, you will build a core understanding of our strategy and operations across different domains and markets, whilst rotating through different roles for accelerated growth. You could work as the next AI consultant or act as a Project Manager, leading cross-market initiatives end to end. You could be investigating new technology concepts and articulating their relevance and impact to senior stakeholders. The roles will be varied, some strategic, others more operational, giving you a flavour of different career paths. You will also have the option for an international rotation in your second year within our Operating Companies and Ventures. Depending on your rotation, you may also gain hands-on exposure to AI-enabled solutions, including prototyping and evaluating use cases, working with data, and supporting the development of software or automation using languages such as Python.

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

At Liberty Global we are committed to developing talented people to move onwards and upwards through our organization throughout the three years and beyond. You’ll benefit from:

  • You will receive an L&D Curriculum that looks at personal development as well as technical expertise running through your 2 years.
  • You’ll also benefit from on-the-job experience working on impactful projects

“I knew I wanted to work in Tech, but I also wanted opportunities to explore different functions and working environments. Talking to people at Liberty Global, I quickly saw that they valued this too - encouraging their people to continually learn, and supporting their curiosity. In line with this, the rotational structure of the Tech Graduate scheme meant that I could gain a variety of experiences, and the large scale and international presence of Liberty Global allowed for a wealth of opportunities.”

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

We’re looking for graduates with a results-led approach, who are curious and confident enough to share new ideas. You should have a degree in a STEM or Business related field, or have experience with data science and analysis. However most of all, we want to see your passion and natural affinity for technology, your confidence in pushing the boundaries and your creative approach. Other qualities we would like to see in you include:

  • Curiosity
  • Resilience
  • Collaboration
  • Attention to detail

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion vision is at the core of our company purpose. We believe in creating a culture that empowers our colleagues to achieve their potential and bring their whole selves to work every day. We are committed to taking on discrimination in all its forms and being a positive force for good in the world today.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate exposure to AI and software development through their degree, an AI/ML minor or module, academic projects, or personal projects. Experience with Python or another programming language, software engineering/development principles, data analysis, machine learning or generative AI is desirable but by no means a prerequisite; practical curiosity and a willingness to build and experiment with AI-enabled solutions are equally important.
