Role: UK Demand Planning Manager

Work Level: 2C

The UKIE Ice Cream Demand Planning Manager is a local lead role responsible for balancing Cash / Cost / Service by providing correct input in demand and ensuring successful execution in the market. This role is responsible for local end-to-end demand and supply planning, leading collaboration with service providers on short-term supply, and enhancing the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP / IBP) for UKIE Ice Cream business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecast Management: Develop and maintain accurate short-, medium-, and long-term demand forecasts using machine learning models / AI-driven forecasting tools, market intelligence, and cross-functional inputs.
  • S&OP Leadership: Lead the demand planning component of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment across commercial, supply, and finance functions.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to gather insights on promotions, product launches, and market trends. Lead the link to service provider teams for short-term service as well as demand planning.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track forecast accuracy and bias; implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecast reliability.
  • Service and Inventory Optimization: Support inventory planning by balancing service levels, working capital, and supply constraints while minimizing business waste.
  • Data & Systems: Leverage planning tools (FEU, Kinaxis) and analytics platforms to drive data-driven decisions.
  • Line Management: Lead, coach, motivate, and develop your team of Demand and Response Planners (4 team members).

What You Need To Succeed

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in demand planning and S&OP.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP (SAP4 HANA), machine learning tools, and demand planning software/s (Kinaxis).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Acts as a “founder/owner” and manages business end-to-end.
  • Leverages technology to actively simplify and streamline processes and ways of working.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Languages: English mandatory.
